Celebrity Masterchef 2008

This series fails on 2 counts: celebrity is a very loosely coined term and the standard of cooking is very low. I enjoy the usual Masterchef as although repetitive, the cooking and dishes are usually good. This series so far has been very disappointing. Get no sense whatsoever that the majority of these contestants have more than a slight interest in food or cooking. #tv #bbc #cooking

It's dreadful isn't it? Media whores desperate for attention coming on and cooking a fry-up. They are also scraping the bottom of the barrel for celebrity: "Bob once played an extra in Crossroads in 1974. His favourite food is ketchup"reviewer188280 at 20:20 - 25 Jul, 2008 said:
I think that this series was fantastic and the level of the cooking was extremely high.ManicMammy at 21:54 - 25 Jul, 2008 said:
I must admit to enjoying the final round with just the 3 contestants left. This was good cooking and entertainment and contrasted hugely with the mediocrity of the earlier rounds. I just wished that the standard had been better to start with. Delighted that Liz won, her final meal looked fabulous and it appeared she worked diligently throughout to improve.
